This geological monument is located on the right bank of the river Ilych, 4 km downstream Sotchemyol (Troitsko-Pechorsky district, Pechoro-Ilychsky nature reserve). It is a rock group composed of overturn light-grey layers of fine-crystalline limestone of the Mesocarbonic period. Pronounced slickensides are presented in the monument, literary translated from Komi as “bad stone”. Various legends are known about this site. One of them says that evil spirits lived there, and then the site was intended for making sacrifices.
